A Real Act of Caring: Scandia Participates in Margo Care CSR
The holy month of Ramadan is always a special time for sharing and spreading kindness. In the spirit of togetherness, Scandia participated in the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, MARGO CARE, organized by Margocity and The Margo Hotel on Monday, March 10, 2025. This initiative aimed to bring joy to 100 orphans from Yayasan Bina Citra Mandiri and Yayasan Berkah Sejahtera (PSAA Bina Remaja Mandiri) while also strengthening social awareness in this blessed month.
Scandia's involvement in this event is a tangible demonstration of the company’s commitment to social responsibility. In line with the values of Ramadan, which emphasize sincerity and compassion, Scandia believes that true happiness comes not only from high-quality products but also from making a positive contribution to society. As part of a collaboration with Margocity, The Margo Hotel, PT Karabha Digdaya, and various other tenants, Scandia actively contributed to creating meaningful moments of togetherness. One of its contributions was distributing goodie bags containing essential items for the orphans, as well as stationery donated by loyal customers. With the support of various parties, this program helped strengthen social bonds within the community and provided greater benefits to those in need.
In addition to financial donations, the event was also enlivened with interactive activities, such as play sessions, movie screenings, and goodie bag giveaways from participating tenants. The entire event series was part of Margocity’s commitment to making a positive impact on society and inspiring more people to share happiness.
The highlight of the event took place at The Margo Hotel, where sponsors and donors gathered to distribute donations to the orphans and underprivileged children. Depok Mayor Supian Suri and Depok Metro Police Chief Kombes Pol Abdul Waras symbolically handed over the donations. The event concluded with an Iftar gathering, attended by various stakeholders in Depok, including Yuli Trianto, General Manager of Property & Estate at PT Karabha Digdaya. In his speech, he expressed hope that this initiative would continue in the coming years.
"We hope the Berkah Ramadan event and this collaboration will continue just like in previous years and in the future," he stated.
Meanwhile, Iyung Rizki, Chairman of the Indonesian Television Journalists Association (IJTI) Depok Chapter, emphasized that the donations were a form of compassion for orphans during Ramadan. The event was made possible through a collaboration between IJTI Depok, Margocity Mall, The Margo Hotel, and PT Karabha Digdaya, all of whom share the same vision of spreading kindness to others.
Through its participation in MARGO CARE CSR, Scandia further reinforces its commitment to sustainable social responsibility. This initiative is not just a one-time act of charity but part of a long-term vision to continuously make a positive impact on the community. Moving forward, Scandia plans to keep supporting social initiatives, particularly during meaningful moments like Ramadan.
